Iordanis Kerenidis

Iordanis Kerenidis received is Ph.D. from the Computer Science Department in the University of California, Berkeley, in 2004. After a two-year postdoctoral position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he joined the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique in Paris as a permanent researcher. He has been a recipient of a Marie Curie International Reintegration grant, of an ANR Young Researcher grant and currently of an ERC Starting Grant. His research has been published in more than 50 papers in leading journals and peer-reviewed conferences, has served in more than ten international conference Program Committees and has supervised eight PhD students. He was recently appointed Director of the Paris Centre for Quantum Computing, a research entre with 22 permanent members. His research is focused on quantum algorithms for machine learning and optimization, and on protocols for quantum communication networks.
